Have you ever asked yourself this?
I mean really. It is actually a useful question when you're stressing about something coming up.
Say you're getting ready for a job interview, or a date, or some situation where you're out of your element.
Do your palms get sweaty? Does your heart start to race? Do you get short of breath?
All of that tends to happen to me when I'm nervous.
But then I ask myself, "What's the worst that could happen?"
I don't typically spend much time ruminating on all possible answers to that question.
But just the simple act of asking it, shifts my focus to a headspace where I'm like, "yea, what IS the worst that could happen?"
And then I stress just a little bit less.
So, the next time you're faced with a tough situation, just ask yourself, "What's the worst that could happen?"
It might just make a tiny shift in your focus to something more positive.
Live with substance!
