No matter who we are or what we do, at the end of the day, all we really want is our energy to flow.
What do I mean by energy?
That feeling when you're happy, when the birds are chirping, the sun is shining, and your heart is singing - all of that is happening because your inner energy isn't being blocked by your past traumas, and instead, is allowed to flow freely within you.
That energy is the source of your being, without which you wouldn't exist. In fact, everything at its core - including you - is energy. All matter, and all consciousness, is pure energy. This isn't a theory. It's science.
At the core of any experience is just a play of energy.
You, the consciousness, interact with other forms of consciousness that manifest as people, places, or things. Your willingness to participate in the dance of that other energy determines how your own inner energy flows. If you resist an experience you're having, then that energy of that experience gets stored inside of you.
When you resist reality, by definition, you're trying to stop something that already is.
You can't stop reality because it's already happening. Therefore, the energy of the moment you resist becomes blocked inside of you, in your psyche, such that it cannot escape. That is, until you learn to let it go.
That's what we refer to when we say we need to "let it go." We're letting go of the stored energy pattern - or as the Yogis call them, samskaras - to release the blockage and get the energy flowing again.
All we want is our inner energy to flow.
We go through life experiencing one thing after another. Most of the stuff we experience is uncomfortable. Think about your day today, or the week you're having. Has it mostly been perfect? Or has it produced stresses and angst? For most of us, most of the time, we experience disturbance throughout the day.
The daily occurrences of life become the source of one stress after another.
If you pay attention to what's happening throughout your day, all you're really trying to do is to get your inner energy to flow so that you feel okay.
If you're into chakras, you understand that it's all about getting the energy to flow inward and upward. True yogis know that the ultimate goal is to make it such that our energy flow is unconditional to the outside world.
Your energy flow is your own. Protect it, work to unblock it, and most of all, work with it directly.
There are too many forces in the outside world to make your energy go haywire. Stick to the walls of your own inner experience. Work on cleaning that up, rather than trying to clean up other people's messes only to make yourself feel better.
The more we work to get our own energy flowing, the less we feel like we have to control other people, places and things. The more our own energy is flowing, the more love we'll feel. We won't need someone else to turn us on, because we'll already be turned on.
Get the energy to flow freely, and you'll be surprised at just how high you can go.
Live with substance!
