Finding presence is about coming back to the present moment, and learning to be resilient when your mind takes you away.
So often we get caught in our desire for a better future, or a different present moment than we currently have. Our resistance of the moments unfolding around us lead our minds to wander to the past - the good old days - or the future - the promise of better days ahead.
But the truth is, there's no place to go, nothing to do, and nothing to attain, except to be here, now.
The sooner, and more frequently, we remember this, the more in harmony our state of being will be with reality.
The worst mistake of life is to live it while waiting for something else, wishing it were something else. What a tragedy this is, provoked by misguided thoughts, and especially, our belief in them.
So treat this seriously. Presence isn't just a fad. It's not just a practice. It's your life. Becoming mindful, coming back to who you are in there, is the most important thing you could do. Your quality of life depends on it.
The question is, will you keep depending on other things to happen according to your preferences in order to be okay? Or will you finally wake up, and continue to wake up each moment, and realize that now is all you have?
That's not just a saying. This isn't just an article. This is the truth, and the sooner you live it, the sooner you'll be free.
At the end of the day, it's only up to you. I can write about presence, but you're the one who can experience it.
May you and everyone on this planet be blanketed in a peaceful state of being.
Live with substance!
