To those going through a hard time, I dedicate this to you.
Your life is perfect. Although it may not feel perfect right now, it is. In fact, nothing is imperfect. Because nothing can happen that isn't part of perfection.
You experiencing this moment right now, is only possible because of the trillions upon trillions of events happening exactly as they did for 13.8 billion years for you to be here.
So how does the outside world have anything to do with you, or me?
Remember that although your life doesn't feel perfect right now - maybe even far from it - it can only ever be perfect, because it can only ever be the way it is. Your life is perfectly imperfect. It's perfect the way it is, because that's the way it is.
When you embrace this truth, you start to learn to harmonize with life, rather than fight it. You realize your preferences have nothing to do with how life happens around you. When you let go of your preferences, you experience some inner peace.
Perfect doesn't always mean enjoyable. It doesn't mean that things are always the way we want them to be. It just means that things are the way they are because of forces way, way beyond our control.
Me writing this right now, and you reading it right now, are two moments that could easily not have happened, ever. But they did.
Our lives are busy. We've got a lot going on. School. Work. Family. Social life. The kids. Our relationship. Our physical health. Our mental health.
When do we get a break? When do we get free time? When will it get better?
I understand life can get hectic, overwhelming, and complex. If you're like most people, life is like that most of the time, and only sometimes do you catch a glimpse of inner peace.
But don't forget why you're here. Don't forget that you were born. The universe literally made you. You came out of it. Out of the trillions and trillions of things that could've happened instead of your conception and your birth, both happened exactly as they did so that you could be exactly where you are right now. Don't lose sight of that. Don't forget the miracle of life, even when things are going dreadfully wrong.
You, together with the universe, are perfect.
Live with substance!
